My dear dudes,
It is a great pleasure to finally announce that my self published book is finally online!!! Planned for a long time, I had to postpone its launch until now.
This was such an exciting project! I had to do a lot of research to write the book. Although it is a book primarily about my strategy to retire early, I wanted it to be a highly cited book, with lots of references and lots of statements based on facts. This forced me to look for good, reliable sources of data, which was time-consuming but added a lot of value, IMO.
I have sent a newsletter on Saturday when Amazon notified me the book was live and I scheduled this post to go live today. I really appreciate if you could buy it:

How was it to write this book
Writing a book was definitely not an easy task. It took me about 4 months to write it, as it involved a ton of research. Just so you can have an idea, I could have invested that time writing about 50 posts on my blog, which is about 4 times worth of blogging, at 3 posts a week.
On top of that, I needed to think about the name and work on the cover. The book basically goes over the strategy I used to grow my net worth to $250k and what follows next, so that I can retire early. The greatest value of the book is the ton of references I added. I wanted real data to support my strategy, so I went on to find really valuable arguments to sustain my strategy. The book is a great extension of the blog, especially in terms of saving, investing, my real estate and the creation of passive income.
What is the main goal of this book?
The book was meant to share my story, which hopefully you can learn from and be inspired by. In fact, that is my mission with this blog: inspiring you to learn about early retirement, setting up a strategy to live better and set yourself free from the rat race. You may be happy to retire when you’re sixty, I am OK with that. However, if you had the option to retire earlier, it wouldn’t hurt, would it? In my case, as you know, it was the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) that made me want to become financially independent. I am proud to say that I am on track to retire early.
What can you expect from this book?
As you know, I hold a PhD. As a scientist, I am used to provide real data to back up my claims. I think I’ve done a reasonable job in that sense, with this book. I wanted to create a book full of accurate data, not some blond claims you read over and over and cause your eyebrows to raise.
What comes next?
In one or two months from now, I will start working on my second book. For now, I want you to fully appreciate this one and get back to me with questions if need be. You’re welcome to post a comment down below or reach me at fromcentstoretirement [at] gmail [dot] com.
